This ink takes a deep, saturated red base, rich and full of life, and as it settles a subtle brown shimmer emerges to echo the beetle's earthy underbelly, grounding the fiery red with warmth and texture. Vibrant without being brash, dramatic without being overpowering. May 2025.
Try before you commit to a full bottle. Each sample is hand-decanted into a 4ml glass vial with a screw-top cap and a labelled colour name, so you can test the shading, sheen, and flow in your own pens on your own paper first.
This is a shimmer ink. Shake gently before each fill, and use it only in fountain pens that can be easily disassembled for cleaning. Dip pens and brushes are always a safe bet.
