Tasmania was the birthplace of the Australian truffle industry, when Tim Terry unearthed the first Tasmanian truffle in the winter of 1999 after eight years of work. This is the second black in the Van Dieman's range, and it carries a noticeably brown hue when shading, with an oily black sheen that surfaces on certain papers.
Try before you commit to a full bottle. Each sample is hand-decanted into a 4ml glass vial with a screw-top cap and a labelled colour name, so you can test the shading, sheen, and flow in your own pens on your own paper first.
