Van Dieman's highest-saturation green, with a red sheen that fights back.
Sea Turtle draws its colour from submerged seagrass forests and shadowed reef passages. It is the most saturated green Van Dieman's has produced, holding a vivid botanical clarity in light strokes and deepening to an almost forested emerald in broader ones. Then the contrast arrives: on nearly every paper a dramatic red sheen rises along pooled edges and heavier strokes, and the tension between the cool green base and the warm crimson sheen is what makes it feel alive on the page. Broader, wetter nibs maximise the effect.
Try before you commit to a full bottle. Each sample is hand-decanted into a 4ml glass vial with a screw-top cap and a labelled colour name, so you can test the shading, sheen, and flow in your own pens on your own paper first.
