Inspired by the Tasmanian Azure Kingfisher, this ink opens as a vibrant aquatic blue that shifts between light aqua and teal in fine strokes and deepens toward royal blue in broader applications. A restrained red sheen borders heavier writing on suitable paper, and a golden shimmer suspended throughout refracts into subtle green highlights, echoing the bird's iridescence. Layered but controlled, expressive yet composed.
Try before you commit to a full bottle. Each sample is hand-decanted into a 4ml glass vial with a screw-top cap and a labelled colour name, so you can test the shading, sheen, and flow in your own pens on your own paper first.
This is a shimmer ink. Shake gently before each fill, and use it only in fountain pens that can be easily disassembled for cleaning. Dip pens and brushes are always a safe bet.
