2025 Ink of the Month - Peacock Spider - 4ml Fountain Pen Ink Sample

The tiny dancer of the micro world, some no bigger than a grain of rice.

Peacock spiders of the Maratus genus are Australian arachnids that fan out brilliantly patterned abdomens like miniature peacocks, shimmering and shifting with every movement of a hypnotic courtship dance. This ink pairs a deep, rich pinky-red base, as bold as the spider's markings, with a colour-shifting shimmer that moves between blue, purple, and mauve to mimic that iridescent display. Try before you commit to a full bottle. Each sample is hand-decanted into a 4ml glass vial with a screw-top cap and a labelled colour name, so you can test the shading, sheen, and flow in your own pens on your own paper first.

This is a shimmer ink. Shake gently before each fill, and use it only in fountain pens that can be easily disassembled for cleaning. Dip pens and brushes are always a safe bet.
