Rainbow Scarab captures the shifting colours and luminous depth of the jewel-toned beetles found in forests, grasslands, and gardens around the world. Their glossy metallic shells refract light into vivid greens, deep blues, warm reds, and unexpected flashes of gold, changing dramatically with angle and sunlight in a living display of iridescence. The ink is a deep, vibrant green with a warm undertone that sets it clearly apart from Sea Turtle, and a strong red sheen bursts to the surface on Tomoe River, Midori, and other high-performing papers. November 2025.
Try before you commit to a full bottle. Each sample is hand-decanted into a 4ml glass vial with a screw-top cap and a labelled colour name, so you can test the shading, sheen, and flow in your own pens on your own paper first.
This is a shimmer ink. Shake gently before each fill, and use it only in fountain pens that can be easily disassembled for cleaning. Dip pens and brushes are always a safe bet.
